foburg is a 3-day alternative music festival held March 9-11 in multiple venues in the Frenchmen / Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans. foburg features independent and alternative artists from the greater Gulf South and national touring artists on their way to SXSW in Austin, which is the following week. foburg 2010 featured 10 venues, 100 bands, and crowds approaching 8,000 people. foburg 2011 featured 15 venues, 125 bands, and nearly 10,000 attendance. With your support, foburg 2012 will feature 20+ venues, 200+ bands, and 20,000+ person attendance. foburg is produced by the noirCollective (New Orleans Indie Rock Collective), a group of music industry professionals dedicated to raising awareness of and building an infrastructure for the New Orleans Indie Rock scene. noirCollective produces sampler CDs and festivals that feature some of the best local, regional, and national indie rockers.
